    • Chianti Rufina.
      One of Italy‘s most
      sumptuous
      wines.

    • Chianti Rufina

      2012

True - the typical Chianti Rufina has its rough edges. It is as full of character as the landscape its grapes grow in. But it is just this hardy note that gives it strength and a robust elegance and makes it more suitable for storage than other wines – rendering it all the more valuable. Thanks to the cool evenings in the Rufina region, it can keep its freshness for years. The delicious fruit, the broad acidity and the well-balanced tannin are a statement. A wine of its word.

    • Chianti Rufina

      Riserva 2009

You should take a little time to enjoy it. After all, it has taken its time as well: two years in an oak barrel and at least three more months in the bottle have allowed it the leisure it needs, and the life experience that it now passes on with maturity. It is a wine of extreme refinement, intense aromas and sophistication that results – cultivated with great care and deliberation

    • Chianti Rufina

      Riserva 2012

Only if the location, soil and climate all harmonise perfectly can a special wine become a wine with a unique character. The Chianti Rufina Riserva TERRE DI AVANELLA is a veritable revelation: It combines the terroir of the detached location with the elegant fruit of Sangiovese. Opening a bottle unleashes the aroma of ancient oak casks. When it has breathed the air it demands, notes of ripe berries and cherries mix with earth, minerals and dry complexity. (available from 2015)

    • Vin Santo del
      Chianti Rufina

      Riserva 2003

When the autumn sun caresses the heights of Rufina and a light breeze sweeps over the hills, the cellar master goes into the “Appassitoio” and opens the windows, not closing them again until dusk. This is where the grapes dry from which later the “canonisation of Chianti Rufina” – the Vin Santo – can be pressed. Refined, matured cheese, exquisite desserts, a Cantuccino with the coffee – and a glass of Vin Santo del Chianti Rufina Riserva: What a finale!
